John’s Story
“Don’t go through life without them. You’re missing so much.”

For two years, John lived without a working set of dentures.
He’d had a set before, from another provider. It didn’t go well. Three attempts, and none of them ever fit right. He walked away from that experience and, for two years, ate what he could without them. Not what he wanted. What he could.
Then Micah 6.8 sent him to Mint for More.
He came in on a Thursday. Extractions where he still needed them, a proper impression, a same-day set of dentures fit and delivered before he went home. His first real set that actually fit.
Ask him how the team treated him and he doesn’t take a breath: “Absolutely fantastic.”
That was the line he came back to when we asked him what he’d say to a donor. Not a fundraising slogan. Just the honest version of what two years without teeth felt like, and what walking out with a set that fit changed in a single afternoon.
What changed

We asked him if there was anything else he wanted to say. He thought about it, then looked up.
“Don’t go through life without them. You’re missing so much: what you’re able to eat, how it makes you feel, how people see you.”
John, to anyone thinking about donating
There are neighbors in Northwest Arkansas going through life without a working smile because a good set of dentures costs more than they can pay. When our partners at Micah 6.8 send us someone like John, the work is exactly what it’s supposed to be: a proper set of dentures, a same-day fit, and a door back into the parts of a life he’d been avoiding.
